A Practice in Listening to the Inner Voice of Love

I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints, and for this reason I do not cease to give thanks for you as I remember you in my prayers. I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation as you come to know him, so that, with the eyes of your heart enlightened, you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance among the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power for us who believe, according to the working of his great power.

—Ephesians 1:15-19

Beloved,

You are beginning to drop into your heart, living from the center of your being. You are learning to consult your heart’s wisdom and honor its wellbeing. Rather than being driven by intellect or ego, you are abiding in your physical body.

As you dwell in your heart, you will live in greater union with me. My Spirit’s light will ignite inside of you. Even when you are living among darkness, you will see my hope clearly. Your internal experience of my light will be just as real as what is taking place externally.

The contrast will become clearer between dark and light. This will allow you to discern situations without confusion. You will be able to name complex dynamics concisely. Though at times painful, you will know the truth and the truth will set, and keep, you free (John 8:32).

Your presence is powerful. Simply in showing up you are bringing my light. Even without saying a word, the glow of my light can bring clarity and peace to others. My light abides in your heart as you abide in me.
